The Autumn Renewal Journal

Thirty days, in four movements. Gathering the harvest — taking stock of what this year actually grew in you, including the changes you have stopped crediting yourself for. Letting it fall — releasing one belief, one habit, one obligation, without ceremony or apology. Slowing and rooting — rest that does not have to look productive, warmth, and one boundary that will make the next three months easier. Tending and preparing — turning insight into something you can keep through the winter.

Trees do not cling. They drop what they cannot carry through winter, and they do it without apology.

The prompts are specific on purpose. “Reflect on gratitude” produces nothing. “List ten things this year gave you. Do not stop at five” produces a page. Every prompt in this journal is written to be answerable on a tired Tuesday evening, which is when journals actually get used.

Each day gives you a full page. A theme, one prompt, thirteen ruled lines, a mood marker from one to ten, and three short closing fields: one thing you are grateful for, one thing you are ready to let fall away, and your intention for tomorrow. Ten minutes is enough.

And it ends properly. A month-long mood and ritual tracker so you can see the shape of the thirty days rather than remember them. A final reflection. And a letter to your winter self — written in autumn, read in January, when you will need it most.
